Google Business Profile vs. Google My Business: same thing?
Yes. Google Business Profile is the current name for what used to be called Google My Business (GMB). Google renamed the product in 2021, but the listing, reviews, and Google Maps ranking are the same account.
Why this causes confusion
If you search for help or tutorials, you'll see both names used interchangeably. Don't assume you need to create a new account or that you lost your old listing.
