What is NAP consistency?

NAP consistency (Name, Address, Phone consistency) means these three pieces of your business data appear exactly the same across Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Maps, Yellow Pages, and other online directories.

Why it matters for your business

When your data doesn't match across directories, Google reads that as uncertainty about your business, which hurts your local search ranking. Your customers also get confused calling an old number.

How SignumScore measures it

We check your listing on Google Business Profile, Bing, Apple Maps, and Yellow Pages, and flag any inconsistency found, field by field.

Where consistency usually breaks

A location or phone change updated on Google but not on secondary directories, a business name abbreviated differently, or duplicate listings created by accident.
